The Eagle Has Landed. An artist's interpretation of what the lunar module on moon with Apollo command module in orbit and Earth in distance, July 20, 1969, might have looked like, with astronaut Neil Armstrong debarking first, here shown standing looking back at Earth. Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of, July 20, 2019 . A perilous, dangerous mission, 2 1/2 hours on the moon's surface before astronauts re-entered the lunar module for liftoff back to the command module above. Only the top section of the lunar module lifted off, detaching from and leaving the bottom section with legs and feet on the lunar surface. Drawing, pen and ink.
